Commercial Achat Ferraille & Métaux

Our Metals Recovery division, a Multinational specializes in the treatment, separation, and recovery of metals from recycling activities. As part of the development of our operations, we are looking for a new team member to strengthen our presence in the French market.

The position focuses on the purchasing and sourcing of metal scrap, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as steel, aluminum, and copper.

The geographical scope covers Southeastern France (Toulouse, Perpignan, Montpellier, Marseille, and Lyon) , with frequent travel representing approximately 60% of working time.

Main responsibilities

• Negotiate purchase prices and commercial conditions based on market conditions, material quality, and volumes.
• Assess materials by verifying the type, quality, and quantity of scrap (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.).
• Ensure document management and compliance with environmental and traceability regulations.
• Coordinate collection and delivery logistics, ensuring supplier satisfaction.
• Stay informed about market trends, metal prices, and demand.
• Develop and retain a network of suppliers, building long-term, trusted business relationships.
• Define commercial objectives in terms of volume and margin.
• Handle supplier claims and complaints.
• Prepare regular reports for the Commercial Management and General Management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience (purchasing or sales) in the recycling and recovery sector.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a results-oriented mindset.
• Valid driving license required.
• Languages: native French; intermediate level of Spanish or English.
• Personal skills: commercial orientation, proactivity, and professional ethics.
