Job Description

At Joko, we help consumers shop smarter and are building an AI‑powered shopping assistant to help users find the best products by price, quality, and impact. The company is a certified B Corp with an international team and is scaling globally, focusing on the US market. This position is based in Paris.

The CEO Office

The CEO Office is a hands‑on team of high‑potential generalists who lead Joko’s strategic projects and, when needed, step in to reinforce teams on short‑to‑medium deployments. You will lead a team of four Founder Associates, with room to grow as the company scales.

What You Will Do

• Governance – Own the rhythm and quality of top‑level meetings, including board meetings, executive team meetings, all‑hands, and the communication cadence that ties them together.
• Proactive projects – Lead company‑wide initiatives that matter most to the CEO and to Joko’s next chapter, including cross‑functional, high‑stakes work that does not naturally fit any single team.
• Reactive missions – Deploy Founder Associates to help address critical short‑term gaps without hiring in a rush, a role that will diminish as the organization grows.
• Culture – Embody Joko’s culture and lead by example for every team in the company.

Who We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience, combining Tier 1 strategy consulting (BCG, McKinsey, Bain, or equivalent) with operating experience in a high‑growth tech startup or scale‑up.
• Direct and substantive management experience, with a proven ability to hire and retain great talent.
• Architectural thinking – Comfortable designing multi‑quarter operating models as well as fixing broken processes.
• Analytical rigor – Structured thinking, attention to detail, comfort with numbers, and the ability to write board memos that hold up under CEO and investor scrutiny.
• Emotional intelligence and stakeholder management – Read people well, build trust quickly with diverse stakeholders, and handle sensitive conversations with care.
• Energy – Bring genuine drive and presence into a room; represent the CEO and carry the culture.
• AI fluency – Use AI tools fluently in your own work, have a viewpoint on how they reshape teams, and be excited to lead by example.
• Efficiency – Fluent in productivity tools, ruthless prioritization, and known for delivering on time across complex projects.
• Entrepreneurial mindset – Thrive in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments, take ownership without being asked, welcome feedback, learn insatiably, and go the extra mile.
• Languages – Fluency in English.
• Location – Paris‑based.
