Join our Downstream Chemicals Team. Our Downstream Chemicals Team utilizes technology consisting of specialty chemicals, equipment, digital tools and over 100 years of industry knowledge to deliver value to our customers. The Downstream Chemicals Team leverages our expertise to provide best‑in‑class technology and support to optimize process, finished fuels and water treatment applications within the refineries where we operate.

Responsibilities

  • Safely manage day‑to‑day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers.
  • Manage chemical inventories, chemical deliveries, field sampling, laboratory testing, injection system maintenance and reporting.
  • Support the development and installation of new systems and designs to apply our chemical products and technologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers.
  • Identify and coordinate numerous projects to support the application of our chemicals and programs in the field.
  • Monitor and maintain existing programs for customers to provide reporting on performance of applications with basic data and information.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in refining, petrochemical or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility).
  • A TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • Residing in a commutable distance to Joliet, IL.

Work Hours and Location

Typical hours Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm with flexibility after hours as required. Location: Joliet, IL.
