Chef

We are hiring a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at our restaurant in Clairvaux. As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of the kitchen operations with a focus on Indian and Filipino cuisine. This position requires creativity, strong leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new menu items and specials that showcase the flavors of Indian and Filipino cuisine.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and ordering supplies.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff including line cooks, prep cooks and dishwashers.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices.
• Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
• Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to ensure profitability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of Indian and Filipino cuisine ingredients and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month based on experience.
