We are seeking an experienced Indian Chef to join our team in Clairvaux.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and create traditional Indian menus that reflect regional specialties and seasonal ingredients
- Prepare and cook dishes according to traditional recipes with attention to detail and presentation
- Ensure all food is of high quality, taste and appearance
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain consistency in preparation and presentation
- Monitor food inventory levels, order supplies as needed and maintain accurate records
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with management to create new dishes or menu items based on customer feedback or market trends
- Adhere to budget guidelines by controlling food costs through portion control, waste management and inventory management
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques and best practices in traditional Indian cuisine
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Indian Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian recipes, spices, herbs and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Team player with strong leadership abilities
- Good communication skills in English; French is a plus
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends
Salary & Location
Salary: $1500/month negotiable based on experience.
Location: Clairvaux. Candidates from India preferred.
