TE Connectivity's Distribution Management Teams manage the sale and placement of products in the marketplace to customers, either directly through the sales force or indirectly through distributors, dealers and agents.

Job Overview

ROLE DESCRIPTION: The Distributor Market Manager (DMM) is responsible for growing TE Sales and Market Share through our Distribution Channel Partners in France(south). Key responsibilities include engaging in the sale of the company's products or services within the field through our network of distributor branches, communicating with distributors and potential customers, providing them technical and administrative details about products, and attaining set POS targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the sale of TE products or services through distributor branches.
  • Communicate with distributors and potential customers, providing technical and administrative product details and conducting demonstrations.
  • Attain set POS targets at regional, country, territory, or branch levels.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all TE products, ensuring cohesive interaction with distributors.
  • Grow and enhance TE Connectivity's market share.
  • Supervise implementation of distributor corporate plans at branch level, setting priorities based on market significance.
  • Align local business plans and objectives with distributor Sales Managers and General Managers.
  • Conduct thorough market business reviews, driving responsibility.
  • Execute competitive analysis, marketing TAM/DTAMs, and analyze competitors' go-to-market strategies and resources.
  • Regularly review distributor branch opportunity pipeline, monitoring quotations with Distributors and TE Sales Engineers.
  • Manage distributor-related business processes, including Cooperative Advertising (Coop) programs, POS reporting/matching.
  • Manage retention and growth of TAM to DTAM accounts.
  • Coach and develop distributor business resources to utilize self‑service tools.
  • Coordinate training plans across the entire TE product range, including TELC and face‑to‑face sessions.
  • Serve as local point of contact for all TE BU sales teams to ensure consistent execution of TE plans.
  • Supervise the Design Registration Program and overall branch opportunity pipeline.
  • Gain insight into distributor's strategic plan for better alignment with key TE initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales management.
  • Extensive familiarity with electronic components and systems industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of delivering formal presentations to senior management.
  • Proficiency in negotiation and interactions with executives at all levels.
  • Self‑motivated, able to assess market requirements and achieve notable outcomes.
  • Ability to cultivate robust professional relationships across multiple functions.
  • Strong results‑orientation and execution characteristics.
  • Proven track record forging excellent relationships.
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork orientation.
  • Organizational and planning skills, effective task management.
  • Ideally located in the Lyon area.
