Central Support Officer

What will be your role?
As a Central Support Officer within our After Sales organization, you will be the first point of contact for our French-speaking customers whenever they have questions about their installation, experience breakdowns, or require maintenance services.
You analyze customer inquiries, identify their actual needs, and determine the best approach together with internal colleagues. Thanks to your technical insight, you understand what the customer is referring to and can quickly coordinate with work planners, service coordinators, and other involved colleagues.
You are the connecting link between the customer and the organization. You maintain an overview, monitor progress, and ensure that agreements are followed up and managed from start to finish. In doing so, you combine technical affinity with commercial skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
In short: you ensure that the right people are involved at the right time and that our customers can rely on fast and professional support.
What are your main responsibilities?
- Act as the first point of contact for our customers in France and other French-speaking regions, coordinating all service-related communication regarding breakdowns, maintenance, inspections, and technical issues;
- Analyze customer requests, identify the underlying needs, and act as an all-round coordinator for the customer, both technically and commercially, while building and maintaining strong, long‑term customer relationships;
- Coordinate service requests and service projects from initial inquiry to completion, working closely with internal colleagues;
- Prepare, keep an overview and follow up on quotations and ensure the preparation and coordination of service activities, field service assignments, and spare parts deliveries;
- Be responsible for the preparation, processing, follow‑up, and completion of the technical, financial, and administrative aspects of service projects, including reporting and progress monitoring. You will also contribute to the improvement and professionalization of our work processes within the ERP environment;
- Identify commercial opportunities and areas for improvement within the after‑sales organization and actively contribute to the further development of our services, customer satisfaction, and service concepts.
Who are you?
You are a strong communicator, proactive, and able to quickly get to the heart of a problem. You feel at home in a technical environment and enjoy coordinating daily between customers, technical teams, and internal departments.
- You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Dutch and/or German is an advantage;
- You have an MBO+ or Bachelor’s level of working and thinking;
- You have several years of experience in a technical, service‑oriented, or commercial environment, or you are an eager to learn starter to develop further within a technical organization;
- You are a strong communicator and feel comfortable in a coordinating role where you interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders;
- You have an affinity with technology and an interest in machinery and industrial installations;
- You thrive in a dynamic work environment and can maintain an overview, even under pressure;
- You are proactive, service-minded, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking initiative to provide customers with the best possible support;
- You recognize opportunities, bring relevant matters to the attention of customers and colleagues, and actively contribute to effective collaboration.
