Your missions:

As an Energy Market Analyst you will focus on the analysis for Gas, Power and CO2 markets.

The scope of the analysis covers the EU perimeter, which does include other worldwide supply regions that may impact the fundamental supply/demand and the pricing/arbitrages in the main perimeter.

You will work daily with the energy research lead, trade and with external stakeholders to monitor market developments and ensure those are captured and analyzed to form forecasts, which lay the foundation of our in‑house fundamental view.

You will formulate and communicate the results of your analytical work to trading and research teams as well as senior management. You will bring confidence in data accuracy and models robustness to internal stakeholders.

  • Be in touch with the traders daily exchanging market insights that could have an impact on markets and on our business.
  • Improve and develop models to measure impact of each market driver into Supply and Demand (ex.: weather, macroeconomic indicators, industrial demand, arbitrages, etc).
  • Model and track LNG tradeflows.
  • Weekly presentations on the relevant facts affecting the gas, power and CO2 markets. Raise and explain the risk flags that could affect market trends.
  • Have a hands‑on approach, ready to dive deep into data, build models, create visualizations, and deliver actionable insights as needed.
  • Collaborate and support the research team on correlated markets, processes, models, etc…
  • Provide ideas for new data, technology and innovation to strengthen analysis within the Market Research team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and be motivated by seeing the work have an immediate impact.

Your profile:

  • University degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or equivalent.
  • Experience in an analytical or quantitative function: 2‑5 years.
  • Excellent modelling and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Fluent French and English compulsory.
  • Programming skills (R/Python), as well as familiarity with visualization frameworks (PowerBI/etc.), are strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Suite.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and machine learning or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of economics and experience in commodity supply and demand fundamentals.
  • Ability to structure data to extract relevant information for analytical purposes.
  • Ability to write clean, modular, well‑documented code in a collaborative development environment.
  • Proactive approach, embodying a "make it work" mentality, with a genuine interest in both functional and technical aspects of challenges encountered.
  • Resourceful, creative, and adaptable, thriving in fast‑paced, results‑driven environments.
