Job environment

Job title of the line manager: Transportation Group Leader or Operations Manager Job title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To manage all types of general and specific import/export transit documentation (sea, air and road) to offer a service that meets customer expectations and encourages customer loyalty, and does so in full compliance with the working procedures and instructions set by managers.

Scope of activities

Perform some or all of the following activities:

Establish quotations in the framework of current operations
Record customer orders (opening of the file)
Review the contract (feasibility of the service)
Negotiate and place orders with suppliers approved by DAHER (according to expenditure commitment authorizations)
Organize transport of the goods: Collect the shipping documents and compile the service file
Prepare customs paperwork
Monitor the smooth running of the service and keep the customer informed
Record any anomalies, process them within the limits of his/her responsibilities and inform his/her line management
Manage damage and disputes (reservations) and send to the insurance manager
Invoice the customer, approve the supplier invoices, then close and archive the file after completing an overall check of the service provided to the customer
Control the quality of customer/agent relations in compliance with contracts
Maintain good customer relations by being the single point of contact for one or more customers
Maintain a direct relationship with debt collection teams and report the activity to his/her line management
Act as the interface with the commercial teams
Act as the interface with the accounting teams
Activities need to be adapted for employees on work-study placements (professionalization contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to be in line with their training.
