Job title of the line manager: Aircraft Projects Purchasing Director Job title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To manage the supplier relationship at every stage in the life cycles of the products and services concerned. To form and coordinate partnerships with strategic suppliers as part of contributing to product policy.

Scope of activities

Perform some or all of the following activities:

Manage relationships with suppliers in your portfolio,
Participate, in the pre-sales/pre-project phases, in "make or buy" decisions and validation meetings, before submitting a proposal to the customer,
Collect all the needs related to the programs (speed, flexibility, customer requirements, etc.) and take them into account in the purchasing process,
Analyze and monitor markets
Establish and monitor the maintenance of target budgets/prices by purchasing family and associated risks,
Participate, in the development phase, in program or project group meetings, and coordinate purchasing procedures,
Identify potential supply sources,
Participate in the specification of needs, consult suppliers, negotiate and conclude contracts,
Enter purchasing data into SAP,
Monitor and report on the correct application of contracts, the application of improvement plans, the resolution of disputes and supplier performance levels,
Participate in cost reduction actions and other continuous improvements
Participate in the purchasing strategy and product selection
Carry out a technology watch in his/her area of purchasing
Activities need to be adapted for employees on work-study placements (professionalization contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to be in line with their training.

Good knowledge of aeronautical systems and equipment, through either experience in purchasing or aeronautical projects
