Business Development Manager – Transport & Energy – France
Role Overview: The Business Development Manager will drive growth within the transport and rail infrastructure sector across France. The role focuses on developing strategic relationships, influencing project specifications, and delivering revenue growth by positioning Cubis Systems’ innovative infrastructure solutions with major transport projects. Identify and anticipate market and customer needs and expectations, capitalizing on these opportunities to assure continued growth from year to year.

Responsibilities
- Develop the sales of Cubis through new and existing customers, product/market development, technical support and marketing across France.
- Actively drive the presence of Cubis in the Rail and Transport markets.
- Identify the key specifiers and actors to achieve specification and sales.
- Build strong relationships with asset owners, specifiers, and transport authorities.
- Implement the Cubis strategy defined for the Rail and Transport markets and participate in the elaboration of the strategy.
- Responsible for managing existing customer relationships and proactively developing new customers/markets by identifying and anticipating market and customer needs and expectations.
- Target new business and key infrastructure projects in rail and transport sectors.
- Identify key trends, opportunities, and risks for the business.
- Provide customer and market feedback to the Marketing and Product Development teams.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate project and sales pipeline forecasts.
- Engage Product Development colleagues by managing and arranging client interactions and onsite visits.
- Liaise with other departments across the organisation to achieve product specification and sales targets.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Customer Support personnel.
- Prepare tenders to large customers including SNCF and regional transport authorities.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Rail Companies and Transport sector.
- Commercially driven with a strong sales focus.
- Ability to identify opportunities and follow them up.
- Able to analyse challenges and provide solutions with constructive approach.
- Ability to form and maintain partnership relationships, medium-term vision.
- Tenacious, highly motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good negotiation and organisational skills.
- A can-do attitude and a desire to succeed.
- Collaborative and able to work well as part of a team.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel is desirable.
