Business Developer - Legal & Consulting services

As part of the Novagraaf Trademark Sales organization and reporting directly to the Head of Novagraaf, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing a portfolio of clients across Europe, with a specific focus on selling our Legal & Consulting services delivered by Novagraaf.
Leveraging your deep understanding of trademarks, designs, and domain names, you will act as a trusted and credible partner, using a consultative sales approach to help clients extract maximum value from our services.
Your responsibilities
Strategic business development
- Own and execute your territory strategy with clear revenue objectives
- Identify and engage high-value Corporates
- Lead complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles (up to 6–8 months)
Consultative selling at C‑level
- Translate IP challenges into business impact (risk, value, ROI)
- Position Legal & Consulting as a strategic lever, not a cost center
- Build long‑term, trust‑based client relationships
Deal orchestration
- Mobilize internal experts (Legal, Consulting, Presales, Delivery)
- Structure compelling, differentiated proposals
- Navigate complex decision processes
Account expansion
- Grow existing clients through cross‑sell / upsell
- Drive retention through strategic engagement
- Build executive‑level relationships
Market visibility
- Represent Novagraaf at key industry events
- Contribute to thought leadership in IP strategy
- Collaborate with marketing to strengthen Novagraaf’s positioning with strategic accounts
The perfect match
- Senior IP consultant looking to transition into a commercial role with strong revenue motivations
- Strong understanding of IP ecosystems (IP firms, SaaS and Service providers)
- You are familiar with sales processes, tools, and customer centric methodologies, and you’re eager to apply them in a commercially driven role
- Proven ability (or strong potential) to operate in a complex, high‑value sales environment
- Native level fluency in English; additional European language(s) highly valued
- Comfortable in engaging senior stakeholders (Heads of IP, General Counsel, Partners)
- Demonstrated consultative selling mindset: listening, understanding, advising, guiding
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), analytical, organizational, and presentation skills
- Commitment to responsiveness and professionalism in managing client expectations and internal collaboration
- Autonomous, entrepreneurial, and comfortable in a pan‑European setup
- Having an existing network of contacts that they can leverage
