This role sits at the heart of those integrations, ensuring reliable and scalable Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations across our regional business.

Description Du Poste Thai Union is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst – EDI to support and enhance our EDI landscape across Europe. This role is critical to ensuring stable day-to-day EDI operations while translating business requirements into robust EDI and SAP integration solutions.

The successful candidate will act as a key interface between business users, external trading partners, EDI VAN providers, and technical teams. You will support partner onboarding, manage changes, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our end-to-end integration flows, particularly those connected to SAP via IDocs.

Key Responsibilities

  • EDI Operations & Support – Serve as the primary point of contact for EDI-related topics across multiple EDI VAN providers and external trading partners. Provide day-to-day operational support, including monitoring EDI flows, troubleshooting failures, and coordinating issue resolution with internal teams and vendors. Ensure stable, timely, and accurate exchange of business-critical documents such as orders, invoices, and shipping notices.
  • Business Analysis & Requirements Translation – Work closely with business stakeholders across commercial, supply chain, logistics, and finance functions to gather and analyze EDI-related requirements. Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, EDI mapping designs, and integration requirements. Bridge the gap between business users and technical teams by clearly articulating requirements, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Integration & SAP Collaboration – Support end-to-end integration flows between external partners and SAP systems, with a strong focus on SAP IDoc-based inbound and outbound interfaces. Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to ensure accurate data mapping, error handling, and alignment with standard SAP processes (SD, MM, FI).
  • Partner Onboarding & Change Management – Coordinate EDI partner onboarding activities, including message setup, mapping validation, connectivity testing, and go-live support. Manage EDI change requests and enhancements, assess impacts, and support testing activities (unit, integration, and UAT). Ensure changes are documented and deployed in line with agreed processes.
  • Documentation, Governance & Quality – Prepare and maintain EDI documentation, including functional specifications, mapping documents, interface catalogs, and operational procedures. Support data quality, SLA adherence, and compliance requirements across EDI transactions. Participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Profil recherché

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • +3 years experience of managing day-to-day EDI operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with EDI standards: X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOM
  • Solid understanding of SAP IDocs and EDI integration concepts (inbound/outbound)
  • Experience in EDI mapping and data transformation
  • Experience with transfer protocol e.g. AS2, SFTP, REST, SOAP
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into EDI and integration designs

Business & Domain Knowledge

  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into functional EDI and integration designs
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Structured, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting SAP integration scenarios within SD, MM, and FI modules
  • Exposure to middleware or integration platforms such as SAP CPI, PI/PO, or equivalent
  • Experience in retail, logistics, FMCG, or supply chain–driven EDI environments
  • Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, change, release)
