BIOVIA Services Software Consultant

Role & Responsibility

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, fast-learning technical software engineer who enjoys problem solving and working with external customers to join our growing APAC Professional Services consulting team to deliver solutions using BIOVIA in-house products for the life science and material science industry. We are looking for someone who is creative, can solve complex, often challenging technical problems and can shape customer focused solutions. You will have a passion for learning new and emerging technologies and a solid technical background including:

• Degree holder or higher with major in science or engineering
• An aptitude for transforming complex customer requirements into solutions
• Proven problem-solving abilities
• An ability to interact with customers directly
• A scientific background, especially in life science or material science R&D, manufacturing or application IT is advantageous
• Previous experience in Laboratory Processes, QA/QC, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11 is advantageous

In addition to being highly successful, you will possess the following broader characteristics:

• Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in .NET
• SQL and database knowledge (preferably Oracle)
• Scripting knowledge (preferably Python)
• A familiarity with Pipeline Pilot is advantageous, but not required

This consultant role would suit someone who enjoys working with customers and developing solutions tailored to a customer’s requirements. Occasional travel, including overnight trips can be expected.

Your duties would include:

• Building and deploying solutions using BIOVIA products that integrate with customers’ scientific research environment
• Working independently, or as part of a project team including solution architects, project managers and Quality Assurance
• May require up to 50% travel to meet with customers

Requirements

You will have a passion for learning new and emerging technologies and a solid technical background including:

• Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in .NET and cloud
• SQL and database knowledge (preferably Oracle)
• Scripting knowledge (preferably Python)
• Previous experience in Laboratory Processes, Lab informatics solutions, QA/QC, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11 is advantageous
• A familiarity with BIOVIA ONE Lab, Pipeline Pilot etc. is advantageous
• Any knowledge and experience in ELN/LES, LIMS, CDS, SDMS etc. is appreciated.

• Assists in the creation of proposals and estimates for Professional Service projects from project extensions with existing customers to working on new proposals with Sales, Presales and Solutions Architects.
• The candidate must have a good grasp of English language.
