BESS Solution Engineer

We are currently looking for a Solution Engineer

Responsabilities

Responsible for designing, engineering, and optimizing utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role involves working closely with the sales team to provide technical solutions tailored to customer needs and tender requirements. The engineer will analyze RFP documents, define technical scopes and risks, prepare system designs, deliver technical presentations, and produce complete technical tender submissions within deadlines. Additional responsibilities include monitoring market and regulatory trends, assessing the competitive landscape, supporting commercial negotiations from a technical standpoint, and reviewing past tender results to improve future proposals.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, ideally including work with a DNO or TSO.
• Experience in renewable energy or storage project management or proposal processes.
• Fluency in technical English.

Technical Skills (MUST‑HAVE)

• Experience with utility‑scale BESS projects (>5 MW) .
• Knowledge of AC & DC systems .
• Strong understanding of Power Conversion Systems (PCS) / inverters .
• Proficiency with control software: PPC, EMS, and SCADA .
• Experience with grid connection processes (medium and high voltage).
• Familiarity with grid operator procedures.
• Solid understanding of regulatory standards for BESS.
• Ability to size PCS and battery systems .
• Knowledge of design concepts such as short‑circuit protection, conductor sizing, thermal systems, and safety systems.
• Experience with Lithium‑Ion battery technology (LFP) .

Other

• Additional European languages (French, Italian, German, Spanish) are a plus.
