AutoCAD Civil 3D CAD Design Specialist in , us

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil 3D CADD Specialist to work on High Tech and Logistics Industrial facility projects in the Regional Carolinas B+P group. The role focuses on the civil aspects of the design, including grading, drainage, utilities, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform both routine and non‑routine drafting assignments using computer‑aided design and drafting equipment to meet set results and deadlines.
• Draft and design infrastructure projects, including ports, civil, rail, and roadways.
• Create and modify 3D models, renderings, and animations for promotion and proposals.
• Use multiple application platforms, including Revit, for complex assignments.
• Own moderately difficult design tasks with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables.
• Lead the development of drawing packages for a coherent functional set of plans.
• Prepare design submissions and other technical documents.
• Ensure design drawings comply with engineering specifications and data standards.
• Assist senior engineers and designers as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• 2 years of civil CAD experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience taking engineering specifications and inputting them into engineering drawings.
• Experience with infrastructure projects, utility profiles, and cross‑sections.
• Experience assembling, managing, and manipulating large site surface models.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with civil site projects on master planning, conceptual design drawings, construction drawings, and engineering detail drawings.
• Experience with Revit.
• Desire to be mentored by leadership and to mentor junior staff.
• Detail‑oriented, technical, with a big‑picture perspective.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a desire for follow‑through.
• Ability to work independently and with large technical groups with minimal oversight.
• Passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative, progressive team‑oriented environment.

Compensation

USD 65,000 – USD 85,000 per year.
