Role Overview
The Electrical Systems Installation Expert (Graduate Engineer M/F) will join the Customisation and Systems Installation Department under Alexandre’s team of 9. The role covers all electrical system integration activities for TC changes, development projects and MOD implementation, from technical evaluation to certification.
Responsibilities
- Act as the focal point for all electrical system installation matters.
- Maintain technological and normative watch, create and approve rules and best practices, and support other actors.
- Update Technical Design Directives and contribute to development planning and verification & validation.
- Ensure continuity between feasibility studies and development phases.
- Conduct concept studies and trade‑offs for electrical system installation.
- Issue certification programs and means of compliance.
- Integrate state‑of‑the‑art practices, certification and airworthiness rules, flight safety and product liability policies.
- Prepare and develop drawing sets with designers once design is frozen.
- Propose and implement improvements that impact weight, lead‑time and cost.
- Provide technical support for in‑service aircraft needs and manufacturing questions related to systems installation.
- Approve production concessions on aircraft or equipment.
- Contribute to continued airworthiness of the product.
Qualifications
- Degree in aeronautical engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in a similar position with electrical system installation expertise.
- Deep knowledge of aircraft electrical systems installation practices, methods and technologies.
- Ability to verify compliance of detailed design solutions against validated requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management with suppliers and internal partners.
- Team player capable of working in a fast‑paced, changing‑priority environment.
- Problem‑solving orientation.
- Strong experience with CATIA V5 for 3D model creation and validation.
- Understanding of DMU product structure and navigation.
- Knowledge of aircraft build processes and basic aircraft systems.
- Experience with PDM/VPM tools and CAD model linking in context environment.
- Knowledge of aeronautical regulations (Part 21, JAR/CS/FAR 25, EWIS, ARP‑4754, ARP‑4761).
- Knowledge of GILDA and SOLING tools is welcome.
- Proficiency in spoken and written French and English; conversational Italian appreciated.
