Job Title

Safety Specialist – Engineering Directorate – Pierre Escané team (10 collaborators, 4 in Safety scope)

Role Overview

As a Safety Specialist, you will work within the Systems General Studies service (EYG) of the Engineering department. Your mission is to conduct safety analyses on all aircraft systems in accordance with ARP 4754(A) and ARP 4761 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Write and update safety analyses.
• Determine the safety requirements to be provided to equipment and system suppliers.
• Participate in discussions with certification authorities.
• Attend project review meetings after reviewing and approving project deliverables.
• Update existing Safety Documents.
• Support the airworthiness service in defining the severity of in‑service events with system designers.
• Assist the scheduled maintenance service in justifying Time Limits documents.

Qualifications

• Experience in certification.
• Good knowledge of Certification Specifications JAR/FAR/CS 25, CS E, CS P and development standards (DO, ARP, etc.).
• In‑depth knowledge of CS/AMC  , ARP 4754(A), ARP 4761.
• Proficiency in system safety analyses (FHA, PSSA, SSA).
• Experience with fault‑tree and dependence‑diagram modeling.
• Knowledge of common‑cause analyses (ZSA, PRAs, CMA).
• Familiarity with FMEA/FMES.
• Understanding of equipment reliability issues and associated computations.
• Knowledge of aircraft system architecture, including critical systems, installation and segregation/separation rules, and system development process.
• Experience with at least one fault‑tree/dependence‑diagram software tool (knowledge of SARAA appreciated).

• Fluency in English and French (Italian is a plus).
