Overview
Job Title: Electrical Systems Installation Expert (Graduate Engineer M/F). Department: Customization and Systems Installation, Alexandre’s team (9 collaborators). The role contributes to electrical systems integration activities related to a TC change, development project, or MOD implementation, from technical evaluation to certification, providing technical expertise and leadership in all systems integration aspects (feasibility, space allocation, high-level requirements compliance, regulatory constraints).
Responsibilities
- Act as the focal point for all matters related to the installation of electrical systems.
- Serve as an expert in the domain by ensuring technological and normative watch, creating and approving rules and best practices, and providing support to other actors.
- Update Technical Design Directives.
- Plan development and verification & validation of solutions; ensure continuity between feasibility studies and development phases; perform pre-studies evaluating advantages and trade-offs.
- Contribute to certification programs and means of compliance; ensure adherence to state‑of‑the‑art practices, certification, airworthiness, flight safety, and product liability policies.
- Support the preparation and development of drawing sets with designers once design is frozen.
- Propose and implement improvements in Electrical System Installation affecting weight, lead-time, and aircraft cost.
- Provide technical support for in‑service aircraft needs (airline queries, issues, documentation updates such as CMM, AMM, JIC, Service Bulletins, quality investigations) and for manufacturing questions related to systems installation (MAP queries, drawing reviews, quality investigations).
- Approve concessions on production aircraft or equipment; contribute to continued airworthiness of the product.
About You / Qualifications
- Degree in aeronautical engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in a similar position (electrical system installation).
- Deep knowledge of aircraft electrical systems installation (practices, methods, technologies).
- Ability to verify compliance of a detailed design solution with validated requirements.
- Strong communication skills with ATR’s suppliers and internal stakeholders; ability to work in a team in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Problem solving and goal-oriented mindset.
- Strong experience with Catia V5 for 3D model creation and validation; DMU understanding of Product Structure.
- Knowledge of aircraft build processes and basic systems understanding; experience with PDM/VPM tools linked to CAD models in a design context.
- Knowledge of aeronautical regulations (Part 21, JAR/CS/FAR 25, EWIS, ARP4754, ARP4761).
- Knowledge of GILDA tools (reading/writing/drawing creation) is welcome; SOLIGNS knowledge is welcome.
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written); Italian is a plus.
