Associate Professorship of Engineering Biology (Control Engineering)
Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. The position includes a Non‑Tutorial Fellowship at Kellogg College.
Salary
£58,265–£77,645 per annum, plus additional benefits from Kellogg College.

Responsibilities
- Engage in advanced study and academic research in Engineering Biology and Control Engineering (and AI).
- Lecture and teach undergraduate and graduate students.
- Contribute to the academic administration of the Department of Engineering Science.
- Lead an independent research group within the broad scope of Engineering Biology and Control Engineering or AI.
- Support the long‑term vision for Engineering Biology in Oxford through discussion, collaboration, and the development of partnerships with other departments, industry partners, sector professionals and sponsors.
- Contribute to the current and emerging areas of knowledge relevant to the MSc in Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Biology and the Engineering Biology Centre for Doctoral Training, including supervision of Masters and Doctoral students.
- Act as a College Advisor to students in Kellogg College.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Engineering Biology with Control Engineering or AI (or close to completion with thesis submitted).
- Proven research track record evidenced by peer‑reviewed publications and collaborations.
- Relevant teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Ability to teach effectively, especially in small‑group settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
