ComAp Control designs, develops and sells hardware and software control solutions for decentralized energy production. To support the growth of our French subsidiary, we are recruiting an Application Engineer based in Chambly (60).
ComAp France has recently expanded its engineering capabilities through the integration of ARPEE , a specialist in power generation control and switchboard design. You will join an established team of 6 engineers and report to the Technical Director , playing a key role in delivering projects for our customers and partners.
Your responsibilities:
- Project delivery & commissioning: you take ownership of customer projects from inspection to on-site commissioning — product selection, high-level technical advice, and training where needed. This is the core of the role and includes regular travel to customer sites.
- Pre-sales support: you provide technical input for customer visits, and represent ComAp at trade fairs and conferences.
- Technical liaison: in regular contact with colleagues at our head office in Prague, you act as a two-way channel feeding field needs into product development.
- Electrical design (a plus): you contribute to industrial drawings and schematics. We use EPLAN across our engineering teams and can train you at head office — but a working ability to read and produce electrical drawings, with any tool, is what matters most.
Your profile:
- Background in electrical engineering , with solid understanding of power generation and conversion.
- 2+ years in commissioning , field engineering or automation for energy projects — comfortable working autonomously on customer sites.
- Notions of electrical design / industrial drawing (any software); proficiency in EPLAN is a plus, and we’ll train you on it.
- Fluent in French and English — you’ll work daily with international colleagues and customers.
- Curious, autonomous, and eager to grow technically.
What we offer:
- A central role in building a fast-growing subsidiary, backed by a recent acquisition and a clear development plan.
- High-impact projects in decentralized and renewable energy.
- Training at head office and genuine support to develop your skills, within an international and dynamic team.
