Analyst, Transaction Advisory Group – Paris. Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a leading global professional services firm providing advisory, business performance improvement and turnaround management. A&M TAG (Transaction Advisory Group) is the largest transaction advisory practice outside the Big 4, with a focus on smarter due diligence and an integrated, differentiated approach. We are expanding and seeking experienced and ambitious Analysts to join our Transactions Advisory team in Paris.

Responsibilities

• Join a growing team with strong leadership, energetic colleagues, and an entrepreneurial culture
• Work across the entire deal life cycle in a hands-on role, including buy-side and sell-side engagements
• Deliver international projects for prominent organisations worldwide
• Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams in France and across geographies to gain broad international deal experience
• Work with large-cap and mid-cap private equity houses, corporate clients and financial institutions to provide broad industry exposure
• Contribute to projects reporting directly to Managing Directors or Senior Directors
• Gain exposure to senior team members in France and internationally, with on-the-job learning and formal training opportunities
• Develop the commercial aspects of financial analysis alongside examining key drivers and valuation considerations in transactions
• Collaborate with A&M’s operational and commercial professionals in cross-service line project teams
• Network with service lines and participate in external marketing events to build cross-service line relationships

Qualifications

• Graduated from a leading “Grande Ecoles” in Business and/or Engineering, or equivalent
• Big 4 trained; prior experience in Transaction Services, Private Equity, Audit or M&A is advantageous
• Exposure to blue-chip corporates and/or private equity is useful
• Fluent business-level English and French is essential; additional European languages (Dutch, German, Swedish, Italian or Spanish) are highly desirable
