Mission
The Alternant will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, international, and challenging environment. He/ She will report directly to the Cash, Liquidity and Lending Sales team and will work on diverse projects supporting the Sales Team to grow the business in France and in all geographies of Santander.
Responsibilities
- Learn about Cash Management tools and services (such as electronic banking tools) Santander provides to corporate clients and be able to support sales team by providing demonstrations and technical details to clients as technical sales engineer.
- Assist sales team in product development and implementation process
- You will provide your expertise in order to develop innovative ideas of applications adapted for Cash Management and think about potential partnerships with payment technologies Fintechs.
- Punctual support to the team in the deal origination, structuring and closing of structured transactions by preparing profitability calculations for a specific deal, client pitches or proposals and other documentation for transactions, cash pooling and lending solutions.
- Monthly preparation and analysis of the France and Benelux revenues, working closely with the local and international teams. This involves an accurate tracking of all the transactions, and the possibility of automation or improvements.
- Provide assistance and intelligence in the normal course of business by interacting with Santander’s network and other Cash Management teams in Spain, Latin America, UK, USA, etc., to support French clients.
- Liaise with other internal teams implicated in Cash Management transactions (Middle Office, Legal team, Accounting, Client Service, Legal) to support the business growth.
- Market intelligence of blockchain solutions and cryptocurrencies in the framework of cash management for corporate clientele.
- Consider and implement application of ESG criteria to some of our financing & deposits offers with the incoming

Candidate’s Profile
- Master student from a top-tier Business School, Engineering School or a University providing the required alternance rhythm
- Strong interest for finance, the banking industry, and curiosity about fintech current affairs such as cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
- Excellent command of MS Office, VBA / Python is a plus.
- Ability to work in a truly international environment. You are fluent in French and English, and you are fluent or have strong interest in learning Spanish.
- Being able to manage a high workload and prioritize tasks due to the task diversity is a must have.
- Analytical, Proactive, Resilient, Organized and Outgoing.
