Agile Transformation Coach
Agile Transformation Coach
Location: Lyon, FranceType: Permanent
Our client is looking to hire permanent Transformation Coaches to help strengthen internal transformation capability across its European accelerator environments.
This is an opportunity to join a business with genuine global scale and purpose. Our client is an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma organisation focused on improving people’s lives, with major work spanning areas such as oncology, rare diseases, neurology, and vaccines. Its Lyon-based accelerator environment is part of a wider push to build the next generation of digital, data and AI-driven products that can transform healthcare.
This is not a traditional Agile Coach role. Our client is looking for hands‑on, execution-focused coaches who can improve real delivery performance, optimise flow, and help leaders solve system-level challenges.
The successful candidates will work closely with teams initially, building credibility through action, before influencing at wider organisational and portfolio level.
This is a hybrid role, with candidates required onsite in Lyon Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday every week. Ideally the client is looking to hire permanent coaches, but we are able to accept applications from contractors who are able to commit to long-term engagements and price their daily rates accordingly.
Candidates must be equally capable of working in English and French, and all candidates must have current authorisation to work unrestricted in France.
The role
- Coach teams and leaders to improve delivery performance in practical, measurable ways
- Identify blockers, constraints, and flow issues across teams and systems
- Apply systems thinking, Lean, TPS, and Kata to drive meaningful improvement
- Optimise flow across value streams, delivery systems, and portfolios
- Challenge leadership constructively where needed
- Help build sustainable internal coaching capability
What our client is looking for
- Strong experience in Transformation Coaching, Agile Coaching, Lean Coaching, or similar
- Proven ability to deliver measurable impact in complex organisations
- Strong grounding in systems thinking, Lean / TPS / Kata
- Experience working hands‑on with teams before moving into broader system or portfolio-level influence
- Confidence, credibility, and the ability to challenge constructively
- A pragmatic, adaptable, non‑theoretical approach
Less likely to be suitable if you are
- Heavily framework-led (for example SAFe-only or Scrum-only)
- More academic than operational
- Strong on theory but light on delivery impact
- Reliant on cookie‑cutter coaching approaches
Hiring process
Our client is moving away from traditional interview-only assessment. The process is expected to focus on real scenarios, practical exercises, and behavioural observation.
If your coaching style is grounded in real transformation, measurable outcomes, and systems-level improvement, and you are excited by the chance to contribute inside a business using science, digital and AI to improve healthcare outcomes at scale, we would be very interested in speaking with you.
