Role Overview

As the lead for the full lifecycle of a new testing facility (from design to commissioning), you will spearhead the development of propulsion infrastructures and cryogenic systems in remote environments. This position involves regular travel to the United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities

1. Test Site Development
   • Define system requirements for remote sites (static fire tests and flight tests).
   • Lead the global facility design, from ground infrastructure to utilities.
   • Specify propellant systems (LOX, LCH4) and pressurization systems (He, N2).
   • Design the site’s autonomy infrastructure (power, storage, logistics, safety).
2. Fluid and Cryogenic Engineering
   • Develop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P et IDs).
   • Size and select components for cryogenic and high-pressure fluids.
   • Ensure the safety of fluid handling, storage, and distribution.
3. Infrastructure and Civil Engineering Coordination
   • Define the site layout, foundations, and structural interfaces.
   • Coordinate with civil engineering partners for the construction of test benches and support buildings.
4. Safety, Automation, and Operations
   • Define automation architectures for facility and vehicle control.
   • Develop critical safety systems for the protection of personnel and assets.
   • Conduct risk analyses (FMEA/AMDEC, HAZOP) and implement mitigation measures.
   • Draft test procedures, Concepts of Operations (ConOps), and commissioning plans.
5. Project Management
   • Lead end-to-end development: design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation.
   • Manage technical interfaces (internal teams, clients, and suppliers).
   • Perform trade-off analyses (performance, safety, cost, and schedule).
   • Support deployment and on-site integration campaigns in the United Arab Emirates.

Profile

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical, energy systems engineering, or related field
• 5+ years experience in propulsion test facilities or live-fire test benches
• Solid expertise in fluidic systems engineering and cryogenic propellants
• Experience in design or operation of ground support equipment (GSE)
• Knowledge of automation and safety-critical control architectures
• Experience in infrastructure development in industrial or isolated environments
• Proven project management capacity for multidisciplinary activities
• Knowledge of Labview: measurement and control system
• Practical mind and strong problem-solving capacity
• Excellent communication and ability to work in international teams
• Availability for travel and occasional missions to UAE
