Responsibilities
This position provides clerical and administrative support to the staff of Professional Services. This includes the following departments: Activities, Psychology, and Rehabilitation Services. It involves developing, reviewing, scanning, previewing, typing, and reproducing departmental and administrative procedures and plans geared toward the specific disciplines within the department and/or facility. Work includes transcribing, typing, reviewing, and scanning documents for appropriate language, grammar, and consistency. The role provides considerable clerical and administrative support through the use of office technology, operating independently in selecting and presenting various data derived from internal requests.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to create reports, maintain databases, track data, and prepare professional correspondence.
- Document editing, proofreading, and formatting skills for reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and consistency.
- Administrative support skills: document preparation, records management, scheduling, and customer service in a professional office environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organized filing systems (electronic and paper), meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum Education and Experience
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
