As part of strengthening the production team, VPK Paper Normandy is seeking a Responsable Energie et Station d'épuration. This recruitment is part of a newly created position.

As Responsable Energie, STEP, and Préparation Pâte, you will oversee several units. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the proper operation of energy systems on-site, including biogas digesters, boilers, and wastewater treatment plant,
• Ensuring the full capacity and proper functioning of paper pulp production facilities from recycled paper,
• Monitoring and proposing projects to optimize and reduce production costs (raw materials, energy, and increasing output),
• Recommending corrective actions based on observed deviations (Continuous improvement),
• Implementing and monitoring performance indicators (KPIs),
• Participating in training operators and supervisors,
• Collaborating with other departments (Paper Machine, Quality, Maintenance, Planning),
• Organizing and preparing scheduled shutdowns in collaboration with production and maintenance teams,
• Direct management of 4 staff members and transversal management.

This Position Might Interest You If:

• You hold a Bac +5 degree, such as an engineering degree from Pagora or in water treatment process engineering, or have proven experience in paper pulp manufacturing and/or corrugated paper manufacturing,
• You have knowledge of wastewater treatment plants, including physical-chemical, biochemical, or biological aspects, as well as management of biogas digesters and boilers,
• You have at least 5 years of industrial experience and team management, demonstrating expertise in this field,
• You speak English fluently, which is a plus in our international environment,
• Your leadership, technical curiosity, proactivity, interpersonal skills, adaptability, and pedagogical approach will be your key assets for effective collaboration.
