What you'll do

• Lead and oversee the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial processes and controls to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring clarity and transparency in financial reporting.
• Conduct regular audits of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing guidance and support to department heads in financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of tax returns, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
• Analyze financial performance metrics and prepare reports that highlight trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding financial inquiries and reporting requirements.
• Drive process automation initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive in the market.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in financial reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
