Account Executive (Transport)
We’re expanding our Sales team in France and are looking for a ‘full‑stack’ Sales person to engage with prospects and turn them into happy Alan customers. You will join a team that mostly focuses on companies from the Transport industry, interacting with everyone from HR executives to CEOs.
This segment encompasses road freight, warehousing, last‑mile delivery, and express services. It represents approximately 1.2M employees in France across 220,000+ companies.

- Passionate team : Our 5‑person team is passionate about the sector we address, and the daily learnings from the field enhance this.
- Diverse workforce : Primarily mobile workers (drivers, couriers) alongside warehouse and administrative staff, with a multicultural workforce across Europe and strong reliance on itinerant personnel constantly on the road.
- Critical challenges : Severe driver shortage, low margins (1 in 3 companies in difficulty), high turnover, and extremely demanding physical conditions leading to serious health and safety risks.
- Company profiles : Market dominated by TPE/PME (33-36K companies in France), traditionally not very tech‑savvy, spread throughout the country, with limited digitalisation but gradual evolution toward digital transformation.
- HR priorities : Attraction and retention in a highly competitive environment, addressing alarming health statistics and managing a mobile workforce with difficult emergency response capabilities.
- Critical business impact : Unique challenges around safety & liability, operational costs, workforce sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
Our existing customers in this segment particularly value Alan's mobile app – essential for employees constantly on the road – and fast reimbursements that directly impact purchasing power.
What you will do
You’ll own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. In our Transport Sales team, the average sales cycle is 6 months, dealing with companies ranging from 30 to 300 employees, with an average ARR of 150K€.
At Alan, Account Executives drive deals and close strategic opportunities with prospects. We sometimes handle some customer relationships to ensure the best possible onboarding. You’ll educate prospects, provide inspiring product demos, and onboard key stakeholders, making the transition from prospect to customer seamless.
You’ll also help us grow and improve as a company, challenging us to enhance our product(s), methods, and strategy, and getting involved in initiatives to expand our customer base.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience managing the whole sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. Prospection is a key part of the role.
- Full working proficiency in French (C2 and above) and an advanced level in English.
- Highly organised with exceptional follow‑up skills.
- Empathy and passion for understanding and solving prospects’ problems.
- Ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus‑building.
- Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
- Great attitude and ability to collaborate in a small team.
- Eager to learn fast and make an impact from day 1.
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) one of Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Lyon, Annecy, Nantes or Biarritz.
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the C0‑C1 level range.
