Accelerator Software Engineer

Location

Lyon (Hybrid – 2 days remote, 3 days on‑site)

Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer (fullstack) to join the Manufacturing & Supply (M&S) Accelerator teams. Inside a small autonomous multi‑functional agile team, you will help launch new medicines faster to cover unmet needs and deliver them affordably across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and run software solutions that accelerate bringing medicines to patients.
  • Ensure scalability, maintainability, and reliability of systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision within a project scope while aligning with the broader engineering strategy.
  • Translate requirements into high‑quality, performant code.
  • Collaborate with peers, product managers, and data engineers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Own technical decisions and ensure effective execution of assigned work.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks, including less visible work that enables the team to move faster.
  • Develop strong technical expertise in domains relevant to M&S innovation.
  • Uphold high standards in software engineering, testing, and documentation.
  • Advocate for best practices and contribute to team‑wide technical standards.
  • Build and maintain modern cloud‑native applications.
  • Support team initiatives by contributing to shared codebases, tools, and processes.
  • Engage in code reviews, mentoring opportunities, and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience (or equivalent knowledge) in software engineering.
  • Proven experience in an innovative, fast‑paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (a plus).
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and proactive team player with initiative and ownership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Growth mindset with enthusiasm for learning new technologies and approaches.
  • Innovation‑focused with willingness to experiment and suggest improved ways of working.

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js).
  • Proficiency in React or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and modern DevOps principles.
  • Experience with microservice architectures, API design, and cloud security best practices.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar) with experience in one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Fixed salary over 12 months, supplemented by a short‑term incentive, and a variable compensation based on Sanofi Group results.
  • Salary range: €64,000.00 – €85,333.00.
  • Health insurance, extended maternity/parental leave (18/14 weeks), enhanced support in case of illness, teleconsultation, and second medical opinion covered by Sanofi.
  • Work‑life balance: 31 days of paid leave + RTT depending on status.
  • Remote work up to 2 days per week.
