Summary

We are recruiting a Workshop Supervisor for our Normandy workshop. Responsible for leading a team of HGV Technicians and maintaining the fleet of HGV vehicles. Ideal candidate is an established supervisor or experienced technician ready for a new challenge.

About The Role

Position located in Normandy. Working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00 am - 15:30 pm. Company van and phone provided. Benefits include C2W Scheme, Bupa Dentalcare, Saver Schemes, retailer discounts, and more.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between workshop and fleet office (~70% workshop, 30% office).
• Ensure accurate and compliant paperwork.
• Issue jobs to technicians each shift.
• Act as first point of contact for technicians.
• Ensure timely completion of jobs per company procedures.
• Report problems to management promptly.
• Ensure jobs completed accurately, timely, and cost‑effective.
• Ensure workshop staff wear correct PPE, conduct safety conversations, report near misses.
• Perform QC work as required.
• Coordinate with parts department to obtain correct parts at right price and time, including sundries and consumables.
• Conduct weekly supervisor checks.

Qualifications

• Team leader or supervisor experience required.
• Flexible, forward‑thinking approach.
• Willingness to undertake required qualifications.
• Experience as an HGV technician.
• Completion of Basic DBS check required.
• Good knowledge of DVSA standards.
• Computer literate.
