Workshop & Facility Lead (Hands-on, Automotive) (M/F)
An iconic automotive design and luxury house is setting up its atelier for the development and production of prototype and low-volume vehicles. We are looking for a hands-on Workshop & Facility Lead to set up, run and keep the workshop fully operational, including the assembly and painting areas.
This is a role for someone who works directly in the workshop, not a purely managerial or office-based position.
Your mission
- Atelier setup: define the workshop layout (assembly areas, workstations, circulation) and oversee the installation of vehicle lifts, compressors and air systems, electrical distribution, and extraction and ventilation systems.
- Daily workshop operations: keep assembly areas, tools, equipment and utilities fully functional, organised, clean and efficient, and support technicians during build phases.
- Hands-on technical intervention: operate lifts, tools and machinery, perform basic mechanical work, troubleshoot equipment, and fix electrical or utility issues quickly to avoid downtime.
- Painting area: make sure the paint booth, airflow, filtration, temperature and humidity are set up and running correctly, and support vehicle preparation for painting.
- Equipment and maintenance: define equipment needs, oversee installation and commissioning, set up maintenance routines and coordinate external suppliers.
- Logistics: move vehicles and components, handle loading and unloading, and drive vehicles and trailers when needed.
- Health and safety: keep the workshop compliant with safety and fire protection standards.
Your profile
- 5+ years in an automotive workshop, motorsport, prototype or low-volume production, or industrial workshop setup
- Strong hands-on experience with vehicle lifts, workshop equipment, mechanical assembly, compressors and air systems, and basic industrial electrical systems
- Able to troubleshoot and fix issues yourself, and to set up and adapt a workshop
- Comfortable working physically in the workshop and handling vehicles
- Driving licence, and able to drive with a trailer
- Hands-on, pragmatic, autonomous and quick to react
- English and French required ; Italian is a plus
Reporting
You will report directly to the COO and work closely with Engineering, the workshop technicians and external suppliers.
Join an exceptional automotive environment and help build the atelier from the ground up.
