Workday Financials Systems Manager

Our client is seeking a Workday Financials Systems Manager to act as the key link between the Finance and IT functions, ensuring that Workday Financials effectively supports business operations and strategic objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Workday Financials platform, supporting end users, improving financial reporting, driving process optimisation, and facilitating the successful integration of new business entities. You will work closely with Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure the system continues to meet evolving business requirements while supporting efficient and compliant financial operations.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with Workday Financials, a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting processes, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Your Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the Finance and IT teams for all Workday Financials‑related matters.
• Configure, maintain, and optimise the Workday Financials system to support business requirements.
• Provide day‑to‑day user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Finance system users.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support business decision‑making.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end financial close processes through effective system management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and system functionality.
• Coordinate and support the integration of newly acquired or established business entities into Workday Financials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system enhancements.
• Assist with system testing, upgrades, and the deployment of new functionality.
• Develop user documentation and deliver training to promote effective system usage.
• Ensure data integrity, system governance, and compliance with internal policies and controls.

Desired Qualifications

• Proven hands‑on experience administering or supporting Workday Financials.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month‑end close processes.
• Experience with financial systems configuration, reporting, and process optimisation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within international teams.
• Experience supporting finance transformation or digital finance initiatives is advantageous.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.

The salary range for this position is €50,000–€65,000 per year. My client may be open to considering slightly higher salary expectations based on the candidate's experience.
