WiFi Network Expert
Network Wi‑Fi Expert – 1 month + contract role – Hybrid
RED now has a new contract opportunity for a Network Wi‑Fi Expert to join one of our key partners to maintain their current system. The initial contract will be for 1 month with potential extension.
This contract will start ASAP or on the 6th of June and requires 4 days on site per week in the Paris region and 1 day remote.
About role
You will manage and support enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi) across international environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security. Responsibilities include incident management and troubleshooting (L2/L3), configuring and maintaining network and security equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs), and optimizing Wi‑Fi environments (coverage, SSID, performance). You will contribute to deployment and improvement projects (Wi‑Fi rollouts, SD‑WAN, infrastructure upgrades), perform site diagnostics, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on cloud and network integration (Azure). Additionally, you will maintain documentation and operational best practices.
Required / Desired skills
- 5+ years of experience in Network, Wi‑Fi, and Security environments
- Strong hands‑on expertise across LAN, WAN, and Wi‑Fi in international environments
- Solid knowledge of connectivity, routing, and network infrastructure design
- Proven experience with Extreme Networks environments and enterprise Wi‑Fi deployments
- Skilled in network security: firewalling, IPSec and SSL VPNs
- Experienced in support, operations, and continuous infrastructure improvement
- Strong background in incident management, troubleshooting, and end‑user support
- Contributed to Wi‑Fi deployment projects (coverage analysis, SSID design, filtering policies, site surveys and diagnostics)
- Good exposure to Cloud environments (Azure) and SD‑WAN technologies
- Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable working in cross‑functional teams
