Your mission

As a Welding Engineer – IWE , you will act as a key technical reference for welding and non‑destructive examination activities on EPC projects.

You will ensure full compliance with contractual requirements, international codes, and client specifications, while supporting project teams throughout engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction phases.

Your responsibilities

Technical expertise & engineering

• Review Client and/or Partner specifications and prepare project‑specific welding deliverables.
• Perform gap analysis of applicable design and fabrication codes for pressure vessels, piping, and structures (ASME, EN/ISO, DNV, API, AWS, ASTM, etc.), including NDE standards.
• Prepare Welding and NDE specifications to be attached to Material Requisitions.
• Identify and select the most appropriate welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, SAW, etc.) and associated welding procedures.
• Manage the review of Subcontractor technical documentation during EPC phases, including:
• Welding Books (WPS, PQR),
• NDE and PWHT procedures,
• Material Specifications, MPS, and testing procedures.
• Respond to Client and Vendor technical queries during clarification phases, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

Project interfaces & support

• Participate in technical meetings (KOM, PIM, etc.) and audits worldwide with Clients, Partners, and Subcontractors.
• Facilitate interfaces with other disciplines (pressure vessels, piping, procurement, QC, construction, etc.).
• Provide technical support on welding and NDE topics during commercial and technical clarifications.
• Support the QC Coordinator and Field Engineers / Construction Managers on welding‑related matters.
• Participate, when required, in technical visits at Vendor or Yard premises to resolve major non‑conformances.

Reporting & coordination

• Report to the Lead Materials & Welding .
• Contribute to project reporting and ensure proper technical communication across stakeholders.

Your profile

• Education: Engineering degree with IWE certification (or equivalent).
• Experience: Proven experience as a Welding Engineer on EPC or industrial projects.
• Technical skills:
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, NDE, and heat treatment.
• Solid understanding of international welding and fabrication codes and standards.
• Strong communication and interface management skills.
• Analytical mindset, rigor, and autonomy.
• Ability to operate in multicultural and international project environments.

Skills & tools

Languages: Fluent English required (written and spoken).
