Weather Router (Maritime sector)

About The Role

MWI is expanding its weather routing team to meet growing client demand. As Senior Weather Router, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, delivering expert routing guidance for towing operations, heavy lifts, offshore projects, commercial vessels and yachts, and ensuring their full satisfaction throughout every passage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop optimised routes for towing operations, heavy lifts, offshore operations, commercial vessels and yachts
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering clear weather briefings and anticipating their needs
• Monitor vessels en route and produce daily weather and routing reports, issuing updated recommendations as conditions evolve
• Support client onboarding and build long-term relationships through proactive, reliable communication
• Collect and escalate client feedback to improve MWI's services and products
• Contribute to the development of routing tools and processes, sharing expertise within the team

Ideal profile

• Professional experience in weather routing or maritime meteorology
• Proven client-facing experience, able to manage and satisfy demanding clients
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Solid knowledge of meteorological models and routing software
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple routing files simultaneously, and make timely decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to produce clear, professional reports and briefings
• Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy, and client-service orientation
• Experience with racing sailboats, superyachts or offshore towing operations is highly valued

Contract CDI (permanent), full-time

Location Auray, Brittany — Hybrid (min. 3 days on-site)

Salary Competitive, based on experience
