Wastewater Project Engineer

Location: Paris, Illinois

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: $125,000 - $149,000 per year

Work Hours: 8am to 5pm

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Design and develop geometric layouts, traffic control plans, drainage systems, and site development solutions, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Interpret and apply engineering principles to plans, drawings, and specifications while maintaining quality control throughout the design process.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including subconsultants, to support field operations such as surveys, studies, and construction observations, ensuring seamless integration of design elements.
• Assist in project planning by contributing to technical documentation, design reports, and proposal development, identifying innovative solutions to meet client and regulatory needs.
• Mentor and collaborate with technical staff, fostering skill development and teamwork to enhance design efficiency and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure planning, design, and/or construction.
• Experience with transportation projects and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Familiarity with engineering concepts, principles, and construction documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or other engineering software packages.
• Illinois PE license (or ability to obtain within a year).
