About the Role
As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will lead and oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost‑effective storage, handling, and distribution of goods. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing productivity, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering a best‑in‑class customer experience.
This role requires a strong operational leader with a proven track record in warehouse management, process optimization, team leadership, and continuous improvement within a fast‑paced logistics or e‑commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Strategy & Operational Excellence
- Develop and execute warehouse development strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Establish operational standards, policies, and best practices to drive consistency and scalability.
- Design warehouse layouts, optimize storage capacity, and recommend equipment investments to improve operational performance.
- Lead initiatives focused on warehouse automation, digitalization, and intelligent logistics solutions.
End‑to‑End Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee all warehouse activities, including inbound receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping.
- Monitor and improve key operational KPIs, including inventory accuracy, order accuracy, productivity, throughput, and inventory turnover.
- Optimize workflows, resource allocation, and operational processes to maximize efficiency and service levels.
- Ensure seamless execution of daily operations while minimizing errors, delays, and inventory losses.
- Analyze warehouse cost structures, including labor, equipment, facilities, and operational expenses.
- Identify and implement productivity improvements and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Leverage data analytics, process improvements, and automation technologies to drive operational efficiency and scalability.
- Track workforce productivity and space utilization metrics to support data‑driven decision‑making.
Leadership, Talent Development & Compliance
- Recruit, develop, coach, and lead high‑performing warehouse teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Implement performance management frameworks and succession planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead incident management and contingency planning while mitigating operational risks.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Customer Experience
- Partner closely with transportation, logistics, sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure operational alignment.
- Drive collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and improve service delivery.
- Gather customer feedback and implement process enhancements that strengthen customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.
- Support business growth initiatives through scalable and customer‑centric warehouse solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in warehouse operations management within logistics, e‑commerce, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing operational teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory control methodologies, and warehouse operational best practices.
- Solid analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large‑scale warehouse operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with automation technologies and smart warehouse solutions.
- Strong understanding of operational KPIs, Lean methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in both English and French is required.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is considered a strong asset.
