Mission
The Director/VP Test Solutions and IP is accountable for the end‑to‑end NPI activity, from initial customer needs in terms of semiconductor wafer/IC test solutions to successful transfer to volume production, ensuring technical excellence, industrial robustness and business performance.
Key responsibilities will be:
NPI direction and strategy
- Lead NPI execution from customer requirements through to production release.
- Define the NPI vision, strategy and long‑term development roadmap.
- Set and monitor annual NPI objectives (revenue, contribution, P&L, Dev‑to‑Prod KPIs).
- Represent NPI execution to the CEO, the shareholder and other business units and departments.
Team leadership and people development
- Lead the hardware, test development, and reliability departments.
- Manage managers, including prioritization, staffing decisions, technical trade‑offs and planning arbitration.
- Establish and monitor competency development plans and technical grading frameworks.
- Build and manage succession plans for key positions.
- Drive the adoption of new tools and methods (standardisation, reuse, AI, etc.).
Processes, quality and project governance
- Define and continuously improve the NPI process (quality process, internal and customer deliverables).
- Co‑lead, with PMO and quality, process reviews and alignment of internal and external reporting.
- Ensure formalisation and tracking of project milestones in collaboration with PMO.
- Contribute to definition and monitoring of quality and reliability indicators.
- Structure the standardisation and reuse of NPI bricks (hardware, test IP, methods).
Technical and industrialisation leadership
- Guarantee robust transferability of NPI projects into production.
Finance, performance and decision‑making
- Build and manage the P&L of the NPI BU/activity (contribution, margins, 3‑year trajectory).
- Integrate financial constraints into technical decisions (standardisation, low‑cost options, automation, AI).
Innovation and NPI roadmap
- Steer NPI innovation initiatives and roadmap in line with company strategy.
Profile
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronics, microelectronics, RF or related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in NPI, test, industrialisation or semiconductor product development, including strong leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Good understanding of RF, analog and mixed‑signal or semiconductor test environments.
- Proven experience managing a P&L and making technical decisions with strong business impact.
- Recognised leadership, able to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and drive change.
