Vice President, Global Marketing – Pharmaceutical Systems

Key member of the PS Unit Worldwide Leadership Team (WWLT). Serves as the strategic leader for all marketing activities across the PS business unit. Defines and drives the global and regional marketing vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and develops the long-term strategy for the Unit in collaboration with Platforms and Commercial teams.

Strategic Leadership & Growth

Define and lead the global marketing strategy for PS, ensuring alignment with FY26 priorities and business objectives. Drive long-term strategic planning, including portfolio evolution, market presence, and inorganic growth through M&A. Represent PS Marketing on the Corporate Marketing Leadership Team and influence enterprise‑level marketing initiatives.

Market Intelligence & Insights

Lead all aspects of Business Intelligence, Market Research, and Market Modeling to strengthen situation analysis for the four therapeutic areas and Services. Strengthen ASR processes and ensure delivery of the ASR in partnership with platforms and commercial functions. Conduct robust competitive analysis and pricing strategies informed by market insights for key categories (Vaccines, Anticoagulants, Biologics, Acute, Stoppers, Service).

Portfolio & Value Proposition

Activate and evolve value propositions, brand positioning, and service strategies to differentiate PS in the marketplace. Partner with Platforms and R&D to advance the innovation pipeline and support New Product Development (NPD) and commercialization success.

Omni-channel Communication & Customer Engagement

Lead global marketing communications strategy, ensuring an impactful omni‑channel presence and competitive messaging that increases share of voice in the field. Drive initiatives to improve customer centricity and collaboration across regions and platforms.

Community Leadership & Talent Development

Manage the marketing community with dotted‑line oversight of Global and Regional teams; set priorities and ensure execution in alignment with best marketing practices. Own deployment of the BD Way of Marketing. Develop marketing talent through stretch assignments, leadership programs, and succession planning, fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability.

Workplace and Flexibility

Require a minimum of four days of on‑site presence per week for most roles to sustain company culture, with flexibility for remote or field‑based positions as specified in the posting.

Location

Primary work location: Le Pont-de-Claix Cedex, France. Additional locations: Eysins – Business Park Terre-Bonne, Switzerland.

Compensation

Annual salary range: €160,600 – €289,100 EUR. Additional components and benefits are detailed on the career site.
