Voice Over Artist (Japanese) - Remote

Overview

Mercor is hiring Japanese Voice Actors for a short-term project. Participants will work directly with a leading AI lab to improve their AI model's ability to handle and produce audio data.

Professional experience in Voice Acting is greatly preferred but not required. We welcome people with speaking and audio experience through Music, Television, Podcasts, Twitch Streaming, Comedy, Youtube, Radio, or other related fields!

Eligibility

You must be born and raised in Japan .

You also need to be a proficient English speaker to ensure proper communication during the project.

Project Logistics

• Duration: approximately 1-2 weeks from your start date.
• Payment: $200 USD per finished hour (based on length of submitted audio).
• Availability: 2-10 hours per week during the project.
• Start date: Thursday, March 12, 2026 PST .
• Kickoff call required.

Requirements

• Ability to talk in a “customer service” voice—neutral to upbeat tone with clear enunciation and consistent pacing.
• Attention to detail on punctuation, commas, dashes. Ability to record transcripts exactly as written or edit them to reflect natural pacing.
• Professional audio recording setup (e.g., a home studio with a professional grade mic, soundproofing, audio interface, pop filter, editing software for post production).
