VMware Administrator

• Administer and maintain VMware virtual infrastructure, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Windows and Linux servers throughout their lifecycle.
• Monitor server health, performance, capacity, and availability.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) environments.
• Manage physical servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and datacenter infrastructure.
• Coordinate hardware maintenance with OEM vendors and onsite Smart Hands teams.
• Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities.
• Automate operational processes using scripting, APIs, and orchestration tools.
• Implement governance workflows for infrastructure, licenses, inventory, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Operations teams to improve efficiency and eliminate manual tasks.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and support audit activities.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, risk management, and governance standards.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide Level 2/Level 3 support.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware v

  Sphere/ESXi/v

  Center Administration
• Windows Server Administration
• Linux Administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE or equivalent)
• Hyper-V administration (preferred)
• Physical server administration
• Datacenter operations and infrastructure management
• Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA)
• Server patching, upgrades, and vulnerability management
• Incident management and infrastructure troubleshooting
• Performance monitoring and capacity planning
• Infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred)
• API integrations and workflow automation
• Infrastructure governance and compliance
