Vision / Multimodal ML Engineer

We’re hiring a Vision | Multimodal ML Engineer for a fast-growing AI safety infrastructure startup building reliability and control systems for large-scale AI deployments.

Your Impact:

• Train and fine-tune vision-language models

• Extend multimodal systems to video & long-context tasks

• Design alignment pipelines (RL-based & preference optimization)

• Build evaluation benchmarks for multimodal reasoning

• Curate and optimize large-scale multimodal datasets

• Optimize inference (quantization, batching, latency improvements)

• Work with advanced model architectures for efficient scaling

This role sits at the intersection of research and production.

Tech Environment (High-Level):

• PyTorch-based distributed training

• Vision encoders + LLM integration

• Video & temporal modeling

• Multimodal alignment techniques

• Large-scale inference optimization

• Production model serving infrastructure

(Deep technical stack shared during interviews)

Your Superpower:

• 3+ years training and fine-tuning vision-language models

• Strong understanding of multimodal architecture design

• Experience with alignment techniques beyond text-only models

• Hands-on experience with video or long-context modeling

• Track record shipping multimodal systems to production

• Strong distributed training experience

• Solid engineering fundamentals

Bonus Points If:

• Experience with advanced routing or sparse model architectures

• Background in AI safety or model evaluation

• Experience with synthetic data generation pipelines
