VIE - Chargé de projets Ergonomie - EHS Groupe F/H
The role of the V.I.E. Ergonomist is to support the development and deployment of EssilorLuxottica’s Group Ergonomics programs, procedures, and tools, ensuring their standardized implementation across sites and functions within the Mass Production (MP) and RX perimeters.
The V.I.E. Ergonomist will work in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders to integrate ergonomics into the design and modification of equipment, machines, processes, and workstations, while monitoring the effectiveness of ergonomic programs through defined KPIs.
In addition, the Group Ergonomist contributes to the promotion of ergonomics across the organization, supporting the continuous improvement of working conditions and the evolution of the Group’s EHS culture.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and assess main ergonomic risks
Based on ergonomic risk assessments (Mass Production lenses and RX laboratories) and applicable regulations, define ergonomic risk mapping and prioritization to prevent, control, and mitigate identified risks.
Analyze ergonomic risks related to repetitive movements and manual handling, applying Group methodologies and procedures (e.g. OCRA, NIOSH).
Support the development, deployment, and effectiveness of ergonomic programs and tools
Contribute to the development and implementation of Group ergonomic programs and tools across sites.
Monitor and track ad hoc KPIs, defined at Group level, to assess the effectiveness of implemented actions (e.g. roadmap completion, reduction of ergonomics-related injuries and illnesses, employee survey results).
Support the monitoring and reporting of overall ergonomic performance.
3. Support the development and training of the ergonomics competency matrix
Contribute to the deployment of the ergonomics competency matrix.
Support the delivery of specific training programs to develop ergonomic competencies within the organization.
4. Ensure ergonomics is a key driver in design and transformation projects
Ensure ergonomics is systematically integrated into the design or modification of equipment, machines, processes, and workstations, including projects involving automation.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and support the coordination of ergonomic projects across functions and sites.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Ergonomics, Engineering, Sports Sciences, or a related field
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of ergonomic risk assessment methodologies (e.g. OCRA, NIOSH, or equivalent)
- Strong interest in workplace ergonomics, occupational health, and EHS topics
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment
- Good understanding of industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and KPIs
- Project-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian or another language is a plus
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn, with a hands-on and pragmatic approach
- Willingness to travel occasionally across sites, as required
