Digital Video Lab regroups a team of highly motivated, fast paced, and highly skilled researchers with strong backgrounds in video compression, video processing, machine-learning, and standardization. We actively participate in state-of-the-art video standards development activities in international standardization organizations such as ISO/IEC/MPEG, ITU-T/SG16, JVET, IETF, SMPTE, ITU-R SG6 and in application standardization organizations such as DVB or ATSC. In addition to our core video coding activities, the team is also pursuing mid to long term incubation activities.

Digital Video Lab has broad experience in High Dynamic Range (HDR) content creation and delivery standards, along with expertise in color science, computer vision and streaming technologies. The team is dedicated to improving video industry technologies, creating authentic, energy-saving, and high-quality streaming solutions.**Job Summary**Interdigital Research & Innovation seeks a qualified candidate to join Video Lab as junior or senior expert in image and video processing, with skills in High Dynamic Range technology, color science and video delivery. The candidate will be involved in our Video Production Services project. Her/his first role is to integrate and potentially lead research activities in the Video Production Services project, with the aim of designing innovative solutions, tools, methods and standards to improve the professional content production workflows. The applicant is expected to both develop conventional and AI enabled computer vision solutions.

The expert will be in charge of the following items:

• Identify the technical tracks to be explored around high-quality professional content production (HDR, Wide Color Gamut, Color Management) with considerations of complexity and real-time implementation.
• Develop research and implement new solutions addressing the high-quality professional content production.
• Support the development of new AI solutions for Media Processing.
• Participate to the research valorization effort through invention disclosures and technology transfers, participation to tradeshows and publications in peered-review journals and prestigious conferences.
• Contribute to the promotion in standards (e.g. SMPTE, ITU-R SG6, ISO/IEC/SC29 MPEG Video and System, ISO/IEC/SC29 JVET), and applicative standards where video expertise is needed (e.g. 3GPP, DVB, ATSC).
• Establish and maintain collaborations with external industrial partners and foster collaborations with academics.
• Supervise non-permanent members (interns, Ph

D, Post-Docs).**Qualifications**- Engineering, MS or Ph

D degree in Video Processing, Computer Science, Color science, Mathematics, Signal Processing or equivalent.

• A good experience in research and algorithmic exploration and development in video processing.
• Knowledge/ability to ramp up in machine/deep learning, color science, computer Vision, image processing.
• A good record of dissemination (e.g. publications, standardization, talks, panels).
• Experience in software implementation: C/C++, Windows/Linux, Python,...
• Leadership, team spirit, enthusiastic, motivated, and creative attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to promote activities internally and externally.
• Fluent English mandatory, French appreciated.
