VP of Sales and Country Manager – France
About the role
As VP of Sales and Country Manager for France, you will lead Workday’s sales organization, drive market share, and contribute to the EMEA South Regional Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise, lead, and strategize cross‑functional GTM alignment for France, coordinating partners, marketing, presales, and demand generation.
- Drive New-–Net growth across Large & Medium Enterprise and expand within the existing customer base.
- Establish and refine strategies with significant financial and organizational impact on regional results.
- Champion Workday’s AI ambition and enable the sales team to articulate value and adopt AI‑driven applications.
- Lead high‑level negotiations, shape deal strategies, and support prospect meetings.
- Manage daily and weekly sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts to achieve above‑quota results.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Regional Sales Directors and Senior Account Executives while recruiting top talent.
- Maintain data‑driven pipeline management and act as a change agent.
- Represent Workday to media, handle corporate communications, and support HR initiatives such as real‑estate, diversity & inclusion, and town‑halls.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15+ years experience in enterprise software sales, including 10+ years in sales management roles.
- Proficiency in the business applications marketplace (ERP, Human Capital Management, or Financials).
- Proven track record leading large, matrixed, and high‑performance sales teams.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles from prospecting to close.
- Ability to develop and manage executive relationships and execute negotiation strategy.
- Passion for delivering results, empowering employees, and a multi‑dimensional thinker.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
Working environment
Workday offers a flexible work model with a minimum of 50 % office presence each quarter, allowing teams to collaborate in person while maintaining remote flexibility.
