Vice President – Direct Lending

Vice President | Mid-Market Direct Lending | Global Bank | Paris

A premier global investment bank is expanding its Direct Lending presence in Continental Europe. We are seeking a Paris-based Vice President to drive their Mid-Market offering. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity to join a growing team with the backing of a massive global balance sheet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end execution of complex private credit transactions, from initial screening to legal documentation and closing.
• Maintain and develop relationships with mid-market Private Equity sponsors and advisors in the French market.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed credit memos and financial models, ensuring a deep understanding of business drivers and risk mitigants.
• Manage and mentor junior team members (Associates and Analysts) throughout the deal process.
• Monitor the performance of existing investments and lead any necessary restructuring or amendment processes.

Requirements:

• 6–8 years of experience in Direct Lending, Private Credit, or Leveraged Finance within a major bank or credit fund.
• A strong track record of executing mid-market transactions in France.
• Expert financial modeling, credit risk assessment, and legal documentation/structuring skills.
• Fluency in both French and English is essential for this role.
• An established network within the French mid-market ecosystem (PE firms, debt advisors, etc.).
