Job Description
We are looking for a passionate individual eager to push the limits of technology in computer graphics and visual effects.
This role requires staying up to date with the latest industry technologies and working closely with our production teams.
The Pipeline Developer will regularly collaborate with colleagues at the forefront of innovation.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), they will contribute to the advancement of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research and development in the field of computer graphics, while ensuring effective integration within our VFX pipeline
- Serve as a point of reference for supervisors, TDs, and production managers to help resolve pipeline and workflow issues on projects
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with Project teams by contributing innovative ideas and proposing solutions to technical challenges
- Document research outcomes, methodologies, and technical processes in a clear and well‑organized manner
- Validate technical integration within our VFX production pipeline
- Work under the direction and authority of the Lead Pipeline, while aligning with the company’s strategic direction
Required Skills
- College degree or equivalent in computer science, computer graphics, or relevant industry experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in VFX post‑production
- Expertise in software, pipeline, and/or technical team management
- Production experience with tools such as Maya, Katana, Houdini, and Nuke, including knowledge of their associated APIs
- Experience implementing tools based on openUSD (Universal Scene Description)
- Python (mandatory), Linux, PySide / Qt
- Experience with TDD (Test‑Driven Development) and/or BDD (Behavior‑Driven Development)
- Familiarity with Rez and Flow Production Tracking
- Fluency in both English and French, enabling effective communication with other team members
