VC Analyst @ Notus Technologies in Paris, France

Overview

Notus Technologies is the Family Office of Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, founded in 2014 after 20 years of entrepreneurial experience. It supports entrepreneurs and managers in business development, financial, strategic, or operational areas.

The company conducts three types of activities:

• Majority investments in SMEs with a turnover of €3 to €30 million in two sectors:
  • Gastronomy/delicatessen: supporting premium food brands such as Oliviers & Co, Le Fondant Baulois, Benoit Chocolats, BienManger.com for commercial development in France and worldwide.
  • Outdoor: supporting manufacturers/distributors such as Chullanka, Amsterdam Air, Nihola France, Douze Cycles, with interest in soft mobility.
• Venture Capital: participation in startup fundraising with tickets from €50k to €500k, investing in companies such as Wecasa, Mercateam, Jolly Mama, Bon Vivant, Monisnap, La Consigne GreenGo.
• Minority investments in SMEs.

All investments involve around 300 employees and generate over €70 million in turnover.

Responsibilities

• Search for new investment opportunities (startups and SMEs) and contact target companies.
• Carry out market studies and competitive analysis.
• Deal flow analysis:
  • Financial and strategic analysis of files received; draft investment notes.
  • Present investment opportunities to the team.
  • Participate in discussions with target company managers.
  • Engage in monitoring due diligence, negotiate legal documentation, negotiate bank financing, etc.
• Investment management:
  • Weekly monitoring of portfolio holdings with team members.
  • Execute ad‑hoc missions on strategic and operational subjects with investment managers.
  • Help structure acquisitions and establish synergies between holdings.
  • Participate in strategic committees of SMEs and startups in the portfolio.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Perform DAF/RAF missions on certain investments.
• Internal:
  • Participate in and contribute to internal Notus projects.

Desired Profile

• Business or engineering school with a specialization in finance.
• 1-3 years of experience in corporate finance, transaction services/restructuring, operational or strategy consulting (including internships).
• Strong knowledge of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Entrepreneurial spirit and sensitivity to operational issues.
• Curiosity and adaptability due to diverse subjects.
• Rigor, reliability, ability to work independently.
• Interest in delicatessen, outdoor, and e-commerce would be a plus.

Remuneration

Fixed salary (€45k-€50k) + Bonus (€5k)
