Urban Food Systems Consultant

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) seeks a consultant based in Paris to develop and implement strategies that improve food systems worldwide, focussing on reducing food loss and waste and promoting sustainable consumption in cities.

Responsibilities

• Develop a global strategy for delivery of SDG 12.3, enhancing collaboration between member states, cities, and food‑systems stakeholders.
• Coordinate advocacy for the International Day of Awareness on Food Loss and Waste.
• Improve delivery of UNEP’s mandate on food loss and waste and strengthen commitments to sustainable food consumption in cities.
